As home delivery increasingly becomes the standard method for acquiring goods, businesses are struggling to meet the demands of quick and cheap – if not free – delivery. ‘Last mile delivery’ is one of the most pressing challenges facing cities and companies as it is often the most time-consuming and expensive part of the shipping process. How can we best optimize the management and flow of parcels so that both consumers and businesses are satisfied? How can new technologies address cost and efficiency while meeting delivery demand?
