We convened with our partners at the leading North American charging network, FLO, September 22, for a fascinating conversation about new and emerging business models for electric vehicle charging in cities: Exploring the Economics of EV Charging – Ownership Models for City Electrification.
As public authorities everywhere set emission reduction goals and begin to mandate the phasing out of combustion engine vehicles, the number of electric vehicles on urban streets is starting to skyrocket. With this transition to a more sustainable future beginning to accelerate, it will be more and more important to focus on the economic benefits of deploying charging technology in urban centers — not just on the environmental benefits.
The conversation was lead by Shawn Yavari, Senior Specialist – Electric Vehicle Demonstration Projects, ConEdison; Francis Baillargeon, Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer, FLO; Irina Filippova, Chief Operating Officer, Electrada; Steve Young, Climate and Environmental Sustainability Specialist, City of Victoria, and your moderator, Greg Lindsay, Director of Strategy, CoMotion.
