With so many massive transit projects going on around the world it can be hard to keep track of them all, so I’ve launched a new YouTube video series, “Demystified,” that covers projects from London’s Crossrail, to Toronto’s Eglinton Crosstown to the City Rail Link project in Auckland. In each video, I seek to break down the transit project into its essential elements, while commenting on topics such as the historical context, interesting design decisions, and the past projects that lead there.

With so many projects happening across the globe, it’s more important than ever for planning and engineering professionals to keep an eye on the space globally. Seeing what’s happening in other cities can help leaders make better decisions, while knowing the history of other cities can help us avoid pitfalls they may have uncovered. Check back regularly, as I’ll be covering more cities and their mega projects, as a CoMotion NEWS contributor.
