It’s been some time since we last checked in on some of the world’s most ambitious transportation construction projects, so now it’s time to dive back in with the Demystified YouTube Series.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the videos on YouTube, here’s a summary of what you missed:
Demystified Edmonton Valley Line – Canada’s Edmonton, the first North American city to install a modern light rail network, is once again massively expanding its rail network; this time with a significant city-spanning light rail line using modern low floor light rail vehicles.
Demystified GO ALRT – For this Demystified video, I talk about a major historical transit project in Toronto, which proposed a massive, region-spanning, automated metro system for Toronto, much like today’s Montreal REM.
Demystified HS2 – The UK is developing one of the worlds largest single High Speed Rail links between London, Manchester, Leeds, and Birmingham. The project is capable of world-beating top speeds and has modern stations, likely influencing high speed rail projects for the future.
Demystified East Side Access – The largest transit project in the United States is a true marvel, like many of New York’s infrastructure projects; come along to see how this project is transforming the most used rail station in the United States.
